For anyone who has been wondering about the 10th District Family testimonial, we discovered ours was on the same date as Department Commander Moon’s. We have begun to look for a different date, tentatively May 31, and this will likely be moved to the Osseo post. We are planning another VA S.A.V.E. training in March, hopefully at the Wayzata post. We are supporting the national Be The One mission by training our members how to ask the most important question of all (are you thinking about suicide?), how to react to a suicidal crisis and how to use the 988 national suicide crisis line to get help.
Thank you for the great support for my commander’s project, Every Third Saturday. They reported at midwinter that our posts have raised more than $13,000 so far, which is well over halfway to our goal of $20,000 for the year.
Have you seen our new district website? www.mnmightly10thdistrict.org. Thank you to Jennifer Cole of Legion Social for her talents!
As your Department Legislative Chair, I’ve gotten very busy making plans for Washington Conference in late February. I’ll also be at the Minnesota capital in the coming days, giving an overview presentation of the Commander’s Task Force priorities and testifying in the taxes committee for the bill which would exempt all CTF buildings from property taxes, a change to the Minnesota tax code that could help us continue our physical presence in communities across this state.
Thank you for doing your part in the 10th District.

Membership
Good afternoon Mighty 10th District. As we embark on the 2025 membership year, I want to take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication many of you have shown. Whether you’re rallying support through events, hosting bake sales, or engaging with our community, your efforts do not go unnoticed. Together, we are not just building membership; we are strengthening the bonds that unite us as a community.
As we aim to renew memberships by the end of March to reach 100%. Remember, a strong membership is vital for our continued success and mission.
I also want to highlight the valuable resources available to you on mylegion.org. There are report functions that can be printed, which are incredibly helpful for revitalizing posts and creating member renewal letters. These tools are designed to assist you in your outreach efforts, so don’t hesitate to leverage them.
If you need any help navigating these resources or crafting your messages, please feel free to reach out. Let’s make this membership year our best yet! 10th District Director of Membership

Hello SAL and Legion Family Members
Hope all is well with everyone. There was a great turnout for the whole Legion Family at Anoka for Mid-Winter. It was nice to see a lot of familiar faces. And thank you for generous donations that were made to Soldiers 6 from the Osseo/Maple Grove SAL, Osseo/Maple Grove Riders and to the 10th District SAL. Thank you and Soldiers 6 thanks you.
Don’t forget that North Branch is hosting the Sweetheart Rally on the 15th of February. They are putting together a great lunch for everyone. Social hour at 1100 hrs., lunch at noon with a short program to follow. Soldiers 6 will be present. If you want to donate this will be a good time to do so.
The District Convention will be at Buffalo this year on June 7th. More details will be coming up soon. Hope to see a good turnout.
God Bless our Troops and Families.
