Hello SAL Members and Legion Family
Spring is on the way, I am in sunny AZ right now. It’s beautiful down here. I would like to that the North Branch Squadron for a wonderful lunch they put on for the Sweetheart Rally. And I would like to thank everyone that can out.
We have our Spring Conference on March 14-15 in Rochester coming up. This is a great way to make your voice heard and see how things are run on the state level.
Our District Convention is in Buffalo on June 7th. Times will get coming soon. I will keep you posted on this. I would be nice to see a good crowd this year.
I have raised almost $7000.00 so far for Soldiers 6 for my project. I would like to thank everyone that has donated so far. It’s a great organization.
Thank you for everything you do for our Veterans and their families.
God Bless our Troops and Families.

Riders
Greetings from your ALR.
As winter is winding down the Riders are looking forward to Spring. It will soon be time to get the Motorcycles out of storage. Many rides and events that we will participate in this year have already been planned. A good share of the rides and events raise money for many Veteran and Community causes.
This past weekend I went to see Steve “Sully” Sullivan at his “Blame Sully” get together. Steve’s health has been declining, and this was a great way for his friends and colleagues to spend time and memories with him.
For those of you who know Sully there isn’t much to say. You already know his drive and the appreciation he had for our Veterans and their families.
For those of you that didn’t know Sully he was extremely influential in getting the ALR going in Minnesota. He also was a main figure in getting the Legacy Run established in Minnesota. During the 10+ years of the run Minnesota ALR raised more than $1.5 million for the American Legion Legacy Scholar Ship Fund.
See you down the Road,
Dan Freund
